Homemade Rustic Cheese Croutons and DOLE Garden Soup

As we approach the lunch hour, I can’t help but think of soup on this chilly winter day. With the temperatures dropping, there’s nothing like a bowl of soup to bring comfort and warmth. From chicken noodle to tomato, if my bowl is full of vegetables and warm broth, you can guarantee that I will enjoy spoonful after spoonful. As you know, I’m all about making time spent in the kitchen simple and enjoyable. Let’s face it, food doesn’t have to be complicated to taste good. Usually, I opt to make homemade soup by combining broth, vegetables, meat, and noodles. Even though it seems so easy, I know that some people are weary of trying to make their own soup. Homemade Rustic Cheese Croutons


  • 1 loaf of cheese bread (usually found in bakery section of grocery store)
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper


  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees.
  2. Slice the bread into cubes and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the cubes. Sprinkle the cubes with salt and pepper.
  4. Use your hands to toss the cubes.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until toasted.
