When we first moved into our home almost two years ago, I could hardly look at our master bathroom. It was outdated and practically straight out of the 90s. Fast forward two years and I feel the same way. It’s a hodgepodge of black and white 80s style tiles with seashell sinks, oak cabinetry, floral light fixtures, obnoxious bathtub, and a tiny shower stall.
I actually can’t stand the look of our master bathroom so much that I don’t even use it. My husband uses it but I prefer to walk down the hall and use that bathroom instead. Yes, I don’t even remember the last time I used our master bathroom. So ridiculous. The aesthetics of the bathroom down the hall, although they need a bit of reworking, are prettier and more functional.
So, as you can imagine, I’ve been looking at ways to improve our master bathroom (and make minor adjustments to our other bathrooms) so that I can start using the master bathroom and enjoy every minute of using it. From new flooring to a claw foot tub to an expanded shower stall to new sinks and a new vanity, I cannot wait until we can demo the current bathroom and start bringing in new fixtures to beautify the space.
As I dream of a future master bathroom remodel, I’ve come across various photos where I love certain aspects of each decor idea. Below are 20 farmhouse bathroom decor ideas that each include a piece that I want to take and add to our overall master bathroom overhaul.
