I think many people either love snow or hate snow. I just saw the following headline: Colossal storm to unload up to a foot of snow from DC to Philadelphia, NYC. Um, yikes … or yay?! You guys. I love snow. Even though I moved out of Michigan eight years ago (wow, has it really been eight years?), you would think that I would’ve been excited to escape the frigid temps and snow days. Think again. There’s just something about snow that makes me so giddy and excited.
But, living in D.C. and now Maryland, we, thankfully, still get chilly temps (the truck’s thermostat read 18 degrees this morning) and snow every once in a while. In my opinoin, if it’s going to be cold, it might as well snow to make everything look beyond beautiful. I know that snow can be devastating and miserable for some. But, for me, it’s magical. Last year, I couldn’t wait to introduce the snow magic to my son.
So, I’m wondering …
What’s your relationship with snow?
Some people love snow. They love staying inside and watching the snow fall while nice and cozy on the couch. They love heading outside to enjoy a day on the slopes or time spent building a snowman.
Some people hate snow. From having to snowplow/shovel to getting cabin fever, people cannot wait for the snow to just go away.
I’m in the former group. Waking up to a beautiful snowfall, enjoying coffee while watching it snow outside, building a snowman, playing in the snow with my son and dogs, witnessing snow through my child’s eyes … it’s pretty awesome. And nothing beats the first big snowfall. So, will it snow a lot this weekend? Time will tell.
Do you love snow or hate snow?
