If it were up to me, we would eat seafood every day. From salmon to shrimp to tilapia, I have never met seafood that I didn’t devour. Whether I have it grilled, smoked, roasted, or raw, it leaves me feeling completely satisfied, comfortably full, and overwhelmingly happy. Do I have a slight obsession with seafood? Probably. But I’m not ashamed to admit it. The only downfall? My husband doesn’t share the same amount of love as me. So, how do I get him to eat more seafood with me?
I’m constantly in search of seafood recipes that will help make my husband enjoy seafood with me, even if in small doses. What I have come to realize is that he likes shrimp but only in shrimp cocktail, he can stomach fish if it’s not too fishy, and he can only have so much before he starts picking around at the food on his dish.
While hosting a dinner party one night, I knew that many of the guests loved fished just about as much as I do. I really wanted to prepare a dish that everyone would love. Of course, who did I turn to in my time of need? Ina Garten. Who else? I knew that she would have the answer … and she did in the form of her recipe for Mustard Roasted Fish.
With just a few ingredients and a couple of minutes of cook and prep time, dinner was served. Trust me when I say that I love cooking this dish for guests. The fish and sauce complement each other in the best way possible. Whether you’re serving dinner during the warm or cold months, pair the fish recipe with seasonal vegetables, a starch such as rice or pan-roasted potatoes, and a nice glass of wine.
