A few weeks ago, fall finally arrived and then last week it quickly went away when the temperature reached the high 80s in my neck of the woods. Thankfully, this week it looks like fall is here to stay.
The leaves are changing, the air is nice and crisp, and the fall accessories are showing up everywhere. From boots to sweaters to capes to bags to jeans … the list could go on and on about all of the super cute and comfy fall accessories that help make fall my favorite season.
10 Must-Have Fall Accessories
Here are some of my favorite fall accessories that help me stay comfy and cozy during the chilly fall days.
1.) Ankle Booties
I love pairing skinny jeans with super cute fall ankle booties. Ankle booties are the perfect way to add some fall style to your look all while keeping your outfit casual and comfortable.
2.) Blanket Scarf
Don’t worry, usually this type of scarf is not the actual size of a blanket. The texture is super soft, the size is over-sized, and the pattern is (usually) plaid. You can find these types of scarves in a variety of colors and patterns that will match the look you’re trying to achieve this fall.
3.) Slouchy Hat
Slouchy hats not only keep you warm but also add a bit of casual style to your fall look. They are super cute, super comfy, and super warm for the cold, crisp fall days.
4.) Crossbody Bag
Having a two-year-old, I’m all about keeping my hands free. I’ve had a tan crossbody bag for the past seven years. Yes, seven years. It’s my trusty bag that is the perfect size and keeps my hands free. Plus, since it’s tan it goes with every color in my wardrobe. I love it and would be lost without it. I was recently in a store and came across a tan crossbody bag with fringe. I almost picked it up but thought my bag would think I was cheating on it. Needless to say, there are tons of different options in stores that I know you will love.
5.) Sunglasses
I just picked up a new pair of sunglasses … boy, do they make all the difference. I have a two-year-old who loves to grab my sunglasses. Guess what his first move is. Yes, you guessed it. He loves to pull them apart as far as they can go. So, I usually opt for less expensive sunglasses since I have a tendency to go through them quite often. But, with so many fun options in the stores, it’s always great to play with the style and look, especially when I’m not dropping a lot of money on them.
6.) Lightweight Jacket
When it comes to fall, I love the layered look. So, I usually layer up my shirts and then cover up with a lightweight jacket to ensure that I stay extra comfy and cozy on the chilly fall days.
7.) Cape/Cardigan
When running out for errands or picking up the kiddo from school, it’s always nice to throw on a cape or cardigan. This type of piece allows you to add a simple bit of elegance, even if you’re rocking a shirt stained by your two-year-old. It’s all about covering up the mess, right?
8.) Sweater
I recently bought a fluffy sweater that has an over-sized neck on it. I’m in love with it. I simply throw on my skinny jeans, boots, a white tank top, and my over-sized sweater and I’m ready to go. Fall is all about sweater weather … and I love it. Always be sure you have a great sweater or two on hand to throw on to run errands, cuddle on the couch, sit by a campfire, etc.
9.) Ring
With all of these clothing layers, it’s always fun to pay attention to your hands. Not only should you be moisturizing your hands more often, you can be accessorizing them more often as well. Find a cool, unique ring that makes a simple statement during the fall season.
10.) Watch
I’m all about watches. From small, dainty watches to big, bulky watches, it’s hard for me to leave the house without wearing a watch on my wrist.
