I have spent most of my life running at full speed all while burning at both ends. However, with the help of my laid back husband, I'm quickly learning to not sweat the small stuff. Over the years, I've become fully aware that I often need to take a chill pill and just sit back and enjoy what life has to offer.
After getting married in September of 2009, we bought a townhouse in Washington, D.C. I quickly learned what home ownership was all about. It definitely has its highs and lows. There are always bathrooms to clean, furniture to build, decor to place and gardens to tend. Instead of looking at all of these "to dos" as a chore list, I've grown to appreciate the housework and all of its rewards.
My hopes with this blog are to help others love and appreciate the bigger picture in life by not sweating the small stuff when it comes to working around the house. I'll share with you stories of home ownership past, present and future, as well as tips and tricks I learn along the way. Feel free to share your ideas. I'm always looking for new projects!
By simplifying the small stuff, I hope that you too can embrace the bigger picture.
